Culture Club in association with An Táin Arts Centre is delighted to announce Mick Harvey: In Conversation at An Táin Arts Centre, Dundalk on Saturday, September 13th at 1.00pm as part of ‘These Are the Waves: celebrating the music of Conway Savage’ a four-part series honouring him and his connection to Dundalk.

We are truly honoured to welcome Mick Harvey to An Táin Arts Centre, to chat about his illustrious career. The founder member of two extraordinary bands: The Birthday Party and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Mick was central to the visceral shapeshifting music made by both bands on record and in concert. From early albums like ‘Junkyard’, and ‘From Her to Eternity’, to ‘Let Love In’ and ‘The Boatman’s Call’, his creative partnership with Nick Cave produced music without parallel.

As producer, arranger and composer Mick has also worked with PJ Harvey, Robert Forster, Anita Lane and most recently, with Mexican artist Amanda Acevedo. Harvey has released 10 solo albums in the last 2 decades, including the acclaimed series of English translations of Serge Gainsbourg’s work. Scored numerous films including Chopper starring Eric Bana. He has received many accolades including British Producer of the Year for his (co)production on PJ Harvey’s ‘Let England Shake’.

This project is supported by the Arts Office of Louth County Council.
