An Táin Arts Centre was delighted to support artists Ronan Leahy, Amanda Coogan, Elliot Murphy, and Catherine Fay as they embarked on an exciting exploration of Dante’s epic masterpiece, The Divine Comedy.
Over the course of several days, we had the privilege of hosting them at An Táin Arts Centre, providing space and support for their creative process. This residency was part of a wider collaboration with our esteemed partners in the North East Network, including Droichead Arts Centre and Solstice Arts Centre, who also welcomed the artists into their spaces.
The work-in-progress sessions offered a glimpse into the company’s innovative approach to Dante’s timeless text. We were fascinated by the striking imagery captured during their exploration, hinting at a bold and visually captivating interpretation of the classic work.
We eagerly anticipate the next stages of development for this exciting project and look forward to seeing how the piece evolves. An Táin Arts Centre remains committed to fostering artistic innovation and supporting creative journeys that push boundaries and reimagine iconic works for contemporary audiences.
Stay tuned for more updates on this remarkable project!
