Volunteering with us is a fantastic way to support the arts, meet new people, and gain hands-on experience in a vibrant and inspiring environment. Whether you’re interested in helping with events, supporting workshops, or invigilating our basement gallery, we would love to hear from you.

For me it’s a way of giving back to community and to know more about Ireland, art and culture.

Why did you sign up to volunteer?
I retired in December 2023, I found myself with more free time. My wife BB and I like the arts and engaging with people.
Did it meet your expectations?
Yes, I have seen shows that I may not have gone to. If I wasn’t volunteering
Tell us what you enjoy most about volunteering at An Táin Arts Centre?
It is a great opportunity to see shows/plays and exhibitions in the art gallery that I may not have gone to otherwise. It is also a nice way to engage with the public.
Would you recommend volunteering at An Táin and if yes, why would you recommend it?
Yes, for all the reasons stated above.

For over a year now
Why did you sign up to volunteer?
I am retired & was looking for something to fill my time love the arts . I live 10 minutes’ walk to An Tain so that was a plus to my decision . I would usually go to shows so this made my decision very easy!
Did it meet your expectations?
Yes absolutely.
Tell us what you enjoy most about volunteering at An Táin Arts Centre?
I love meeting new people & chatting to them when ushering, when ushering you get seats allocated to you so you get to see shows/plays/ musicals / talks etc for free, I love watching live performances so this type volunteering suits me .
Would you recommend volunteering at An Táin and if yes, why would you recommend it?
Yes, I look Forward to my nights ushering it’s always a great night out and I enjoy the basement gallery also.

How long have you been volunteering at An Táin Arts Centre?
I have been volunteering in the Tain for maybe 1.5 years approx.
Why did you sign up to volunteer?
I signed up to volunteer as I had just moved to the area and wanted to volunteer into a group, meet new people as I knew nobody and I enjoy the arts.
Did it meet your expectations?
Yes it did meet my expectations.
Tell us what you enjoy most about volunteering at An Táin Arts Centre?
The people in the Tain are very welcoming and do appreciate my time. It is very versatile as sometimes I am ushering, working in the gallery or serving at a wine reception for an opening of art in the gallery or book a launch. It is very varied.
Would you recommend volunteering at An Táin and if yes, why would you recommend it?
Yes I would recommend it – for all the above reasons.
