The Creative Brew – A perfect blend of coffee and artistic connection!
Are you looking to connect with a community of fellow creatives who share your journey of navigating a professional artistic career? Then you’ve got to join The Creative Brew – a relaxed meet & greet where you can share your practice, connect with others, and discuss possibilities.
Whether you’re a theatre maker, costume designer, musician, dancer, or any kind of artist from any discipline (or multiple disciplines), everyone is welcome. Looking ahead, we envision this to be an ongoing space where we can support each other’s work, spark meaningful conversations, potentially discuss issues, and even collaborate on projects.
Next up at Creative Brew: The Perfect Pitch
In this session, we’re discussing pitching your work to potential funders. There’ll be tips, and artist insight. We are also inviting 5 participants from this group to pitch a current or future project to the group.
Each person will have up to 5 minutes to present their idea, followed by a 10-minute Q&A with the room. The goal? To help each other sharpen how we talk about our work — clearly, confidently, and with purpose.
Whether you’re pitching for funding, collaborators, or just trying to articulate your vision, this is a chance to test it out in a supportive space.

A Note from Subhashini about The Perfect Pitch:
“We’re back for our second meet! As artists, we’ve all been in spaces where we’ve had to explain our work to different venues, agents, or organisations. This time, we’re going to have a hands-on session where we share a couple of pitches and reflect on our ideas, and get comfortable talking about our stories and what we’d need! With a relaxed, supportive group of creatives around, this is a good time to share our strengths and refine our practice.”
This time we are going to take a little bit more a structured approach. With time set aside at the start and end for mingling.
The Creative Brew is a relaxed meet & greet for creatives where you can share your practice, connect with others, and discuss possibilities for collaboration all over a complimentary coffee and tasty treats. Hosted by Subhashini Goda. Suba is a multidisciplinary dance artist, interested in collaborative explorations with diverse artists and looking to build an inclusive artistic community.
