The programme will feature both opera arias revisited in a modern key and pieces inspired by the operatic style, mixing lyrical works and virtuosity. The combination of cello and piano will give new voice to a repertoire already much loved by the public, making it even more engaging and with the aim of bringing the wonderful world of classical music to a wider audience.

Davide Forti, cello, and Francesca De Nardi, piano, are an award winning Italian classical music duo based in Dundalk. “Sonas” is a tribute to the land that has hosted them: it means “happiness” in Gaelic, but it also recalls the Latin verb “sonare”, combining their love for music in a single concept.
