Masterclass in Paper Resist Pottery with Etaoin O’Reilly
4 August
*For adults only. Suitable for beginners.
In this class each student will get to decorate their own mug by using the technique of paper resist. Mugs will be provided by facilitator, Bó Studios ceramicist, Etaoin O’Reilly. This is a straightforward technique that Etaoin uses in her own work to get clean lines. Students can decorate their mug in a variety of different colours and construct their own handle giving it a personal twist.
Etaoin is a ceramic artist who graduated from NCAD in 2014 with a first class honors in Craft Design. Since graduating she has completed residencies at NCAD, LSAD and An Táin Arts Centre. Her achievements include; winner “The Overall Future Makers Award” for her NCAD degree show and acceptance on the “Young Ambassadors Program”. This program sent her to Venice where she worked for the “Homer Faber Exhibition”. She runs “Etaoin O’Reilly Ceramics” where she sells her own ceramic art work and functional range from Bó Studios.
