A long-overdue film adaptation of Judy Blume’s beloved 1970 novel, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret is a winning coming-of-age comedy-drama about one young girl’s experiences of becoming a teenager and her parents’ messy but always well-intentioned efforts to do the best for their family. Refreshingly honest and humorous, this is a delightful film. Starring: Abby Ryder Fortson, Rachel McAdams, Benny Safdie, Kathy Bates.
