Emer is a classically trained Irish and concert harp player and composer, (Trinity College of Music, London). She signed to Warner Chappell Publishing and Mercury, Polygram, Gold Circle, and Artemis records in the USA releasing three critically acclaimed albums. Her music has been synced to major Hollywood films, including Francis Ford Coppola’s Third Mircale.

In 2019 Emer was commissioned by The Derry Playhouse/Peace IV to work with survivors of the Troubles to document their testimonies and write/record a socially engaged musical work Ghosts. She facilitated cross community music workshops developing music based on the participants testimonies. In September 2019 Ghosts was featured in an International Conference Art in a Place of Conflict. In 2020, the title track from Ghosts was chosen to be recorded by the Ulster Orchestra in the Waterfront, Belfast.

Emer was in residence at An Táin Arts Centre from October – December 2023.
