Cruinniú na nÓg | Kelly Kierans

Super-stories and Superheroes is an immersive creative arts and drama workshop which aims to ignite the spark of creativity and unleash that creative potential within everyone, through the power of storytelling and recycled materials. Drawing inspiration from the wonderful ‘Brown Box’ concept, wherein a child’s creativity transforms simple objects into fantastical creations, the workshop encourages participants to embark on an exciting and energetic storytelling journey fuelled by their imagination. At the heart of the workshop, we encourage the ordinary become the extraordinary with a touch of creativity. Using recycled materials, participants will have the opportunity to craft their own superhero personas, invent fun narratives, and bring them to life in a playful environment. The Brown Box serves as a symbol of boundless potential, transforming into a Formula One Car, a Spaceship, or any other things the participants envision. By embracing the idea of “if we see it, we believe it,” we encourage everyone to create their own realities and explore the limitless possibilities of their imagination. The workshop is about collaboration, creativity, and confidence-building as participants get to create and perform their stories in whatever way works for them. Through interactive drama exercises, improvisation games, art and storytelling techniques, we aim to promote some environmental awareness and demonstrate how resourcefulness and innovation can transform waste into something magical.

Super-stories and Superheroes effectively is a fun, unique and enriching experience for all participants. We want them to embrace their inner superheroes in society, embark on an adventure with their unlimited creativity by engaging in the power of the imagination and storytelling at Cruinniú na nÓg.
