In this workshop, which is suitable for all ages, Rita O’Loughlin will demonstrate how to make a Brat Bhríde. The Brat Bhríde (St Brigid’s Cloak) is an Irish tradition of decorating scarfs which bring blessings and protection to the wearer. You will have the chance to make your own Brat Bhríde and there will be plenty of embroidery hoops, wool and needles available. Please bring along one of your own scarfs which you will decorate yourself. We welcome and encourage everyone to make and gift a Brat Bhríde.
