“I am honoured and humbled to be offered this residency in my hometown. It has proven to be the perfect time, as we are all aware, all performances have been cancelled due to the Covid 19 pandemic. I will take full creative advantage of this time and space provided by An Táin Arts Centre. I plan to write and record new pieces that are not commissioned as this provides a creative freedom, I have not had the time to experience before. The work will be shared and released with a focus on the moving image. l look forward to the musicians that will contribute and sharing the outcome with the public. I am also very excited to be part of the community in general and hope to contribute where I can from an educational standpoint”.
James will be in residence in An Táin Arts Centre during June, July and August 2021.
