Jinx Lennon
16 May | 8:00 pm
Jinx Lennon brings his whole bag of fears, beliefs, observations, inspirations and hope and throws it out into the audience to uplift them and inspire them on a tightrope of raw energy sound, awkward and real in its intensity.
Brought up on glam rock, rebel songs and some awful country & western, the cosmic border schizo folk sound of Jinx Lennon is the result of too many shit factory jobs, clueless sex education, cigarette butt strewn snooker halls, the jurassic park of big grey estates and breweries, football bores and the purgatory graveyards of half arsed bands stuck in the bubble of local hero dom. Keeping it simple in a neanderthal garage rock vein and his own brand of wired up folk guitar music the aim here is for joyous communion with the audience in a punk poet state of mind, no B.S., no niceties, just lyrics and noise to help face down the dread of everyday life.
Jinx toured with John Cooper Clarke, has shared a stage with Christy Moore and The Fall and has appeared on the Tommy Tiernan Show.
