Bealtaine Performance: Miss Mary
31 May | 2:00 pm
Tickets: Free No Booking Required
All Ages are welcome.
This is an Off-Site Dance Performance in Market Square as part of the Bealtaine Festival.
Tracing the footsteps of the traveling dance masters of Ireland, the performer transits through parks and fields. She is migratory, as the masters before her. To her, the land is a journey. She arrives at a gathering of people to exchange, listen & learn stories and steps of the past, intimately connecting with the audience & land. Memories inhabit people, traditional music inhabits the land.
Where did you come from? How do you move?
and… will you dance with me?
Prior to the performance Kristyne will also conduct a workshop for older people from a community group from 11am – 1pm at An Táin Arts Centre. If you are a community group that works with older people and would like to take part, please contact our box office 042 9332332 to inquire about booking this workshop.
Presented in association with Age & Opportunity as part of the Nationwide Bealtaine Festival – celebrating Arts and Creativity as we age. Co-produced by Roscommon Arts Centre with further support from Backstage Theatre Longford and An Táin Arts Centre Dundalk.
